Access

Access to the appropriate services when and where you need them is fundamental to primary health care. It recognizes you may need advice, information and care outside of regular office hours. Healthline, Healthline Online and the Smoker’s Helpline are examples of some of the services available to Heartland residents around the clock.

Providing individuals with alternative ways of getting health care and health advice can also improve health system efficiency by reducing the pressure on emergency rooms.
