2021 Medical First Responder Registration Renewals
This year is a renewal year for Medical First Responders across the province, you will all be receiving letters from Sask Health shortly if you haven't already along with a Sask Health application form. These forms need to be into Jim Cheyne by October 15, 2021 so Jim can get through them and have them into Sask Health by October 31, 2021. Below is a link to the Sask Health Application form if you happen to misplace the one you receive in the mail.
For those renewing: Please complete the top section of the Sask Health Application form and sign. Check Registration Renewal in the top left corner of this form. First Responders do not fill anything in from the Facilitators Continuing Education Report down. If you have completed education at a local site you can have the EMS Coordinator or the Instructor sign off your education that they completed with you in the Facilitators Continuing Education Report. For any First Responders that completed their initial training in the past two years, you can be automatically renewed as long as you seen the Sask Health application form in along with a current CPR card. ALL FIRST RESPONDERS NEED TO SEND THEIR CURRENT CPR CARD WITH THIS SASK HEALTH APPLICATION FORM TO BE RENEWED.
For those not renewing: Please complete the top section of the Sask Health Application form and sign. Check Inactive Status in the top left corner of this form. Then please send to Jim Cheyne.
NEW - Paramedics (EMR-ACP): Please complete the attached registration form and return it to Jim Cheyne with your 2021 SCoP license by December 15, 2020. Paramedics are not licensed as Medical First Responders with Sask Health, Paramedics practice under their SCoP license and use their SCoP number on first responder calls. However this will allow for easier tracking of our Paramedics who also first respond to ensure our Paramedics on list are licensed. This will be done yearly moving forward, and reminders will be sent out. Failure to do this will mean removal from the dispatch listing until complete.
